Interests Ever since I was a child, I had a great desire to be challenged. Being apart of a sports that tests you, not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well, have taught me how to be a leader and to never give up when pursuing your goals and dreams. The sports I chose to compete in were Swimming and Wrestling and was blessed by my efforts. After High School, I decided to branch out from strictly wrestling and competed in Mixed Martial Arts competitions placing at the National level. Physical Fitness in general is a large part of my life. When I was twelve years old, the only thing I asked for on my birthday was a gym membership to 24 Hour Fitness. Since that time, lifting weights has become so important to me. I also have a passion for Education. I love to learn. My favorite topic of study is Religious Education. I love studying different religious material and coming to know my Higher Power. So, from outdoor activities to enjoying a good book in a quiet area, I enjoy and am interested in life! Comments on DRA When considering my employment to DRA, I had two different choices. One was becoming a tour guide for an Alaskan Resort and the other to come to Southern Utah to work at a Youth Residential Treatment Center (DRA). After considering both options, I chose to work at Diamond Ranch Academy and am forever grateful for the choice I was led to make. Upon coming to DRA, I thought I had life figured out. After working at DRA for a month, I realized I had a lot to learn about life in general and specifically how I was going to make my mark on the World. I realized being apart of DRA helps me reach my ultimate goal of making my mark of positive influence on the world. Being Part of a team that works together in striving to teach correct principles and set positive examples for the youth that come to DRA has been a great blessing in my life. Each individual that leaves DRA has the opportunity to take what they were taught here and make their own personal mark on the world. To be apart of something that big is beautiful and I love it! |
