Interests
My amazing husband and I love being out of doors doing things like four-wheeling, hiking, and boating.  I personally enjoy challenging myself in a variety of athletic endeavors, from running to wakeboarding.  However, basketball will always be my first love.  Through the medium of athletics, I have also had the opportunity to gain a tremendous amount of experience in coaching – both professional and voluntary.
Athletics is something I am passionate about.  Participation in athletics provides a healthy, proactive outlet for youth to express themselves while excelling in something they enjoy.  It boosts confidence: First on the field, which quickly then translates to life off the field as well.  Athletic teams offer youth the opportunity to be part of a team, a family.  The family-oriented foundational aspect unique to DRA is unrivaled.  These young athletes learn how to trust: Not only in their teammates but also, and more importantly, in themselves.

Comments on DRA
I love Diamond Ranch Academy because of the comprehensive, balanced nature of its Real-Life Transition Program.  Youth at DRA have the opportunity to actively engage themselves, not only through intensive therapy sessions and essential school work but also through participation in various after-school clubs, activities, and athletic teams.  To this end, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be involved in the development of the girls’ athletic program at DRA!
