Professional Work Experience
Interests I have been with the ranch in a number of capacities. Throughout my life my parents took in 10 foster children over the years. I grew up in an environment familiar with teenagers dealing with various issues. I learned to love and help them. I had the opportunity to serve as a humanitarian volunteer for my church for several years. This opportunity to serve others has had a powerful and refining influence on me. I learned to speak fluent Portuguese and was able to help the people of Brazil improve their personal lives and strengthen their families, all in their own language. Through this, I learned the personal benefit and power of dedicating your life to the service of others and have brought that dedication back to Diamond Ranch Academy. I was promoted to Assistant Program Director at the ranch and assumed many supervisory responsibilities. I have continued to pursue my education during this time as well and attended Dixie State College. I have a love of football and play for Dixie State where I have the opportunity to demonstrate another side of my energetic, active personality. I love being able to play sports with the youth here. I am working toward my Master's Degree in an area that will allow me to continue to work with youth as a professional. Comments on DRA I truly love working with these youth. I learn so many things from them everyday. I love watching them grow and overcome trials. Each day I strive to be a good example to the youth. This helps me become a better person. I love watching them character themselves and find true happiness. I always tell the youth, It feels good to be good. |
