Interests

I grew up in Cedar City, Utah and learned the Construction trade from my father. Biology interests in high school led me to pursue medicine as a career. I worked as a cardiovascular technician for 7 years before going to PA school. I have always had an interest in the youth of the world and have been a scout leader for over 8 years. I love high adventure and like to rappel, hike, ski, wakeboard, and especially like canyoneering in Zion. Living in St George has been a great thing. I love medicine and enjoyed the variety of family medicine, where I first got involved with youth programs. Now I love the complexity of surgery in urology. Life has been grand.

I have been at DRA as a Medial Consultant now for over 3 years. I have seen this program change the lives of so many youth and I appreciate the dedication and expertise of all the staff here. It is hard to get to know so many kids and have to see them move on. At times, I wish I could take them all home just to care for them. DRA has been a great experience. I only get to see the kids on occasion, but it is enough to learn to love them. I envy those who work with the kids on a daily basis.
