Interests

My loves are animals (mostly horses and dogs), music, and writing. I have written over 200 songs (but that was a long time ago), and done a little singing with a Western band. I also love to dance and work-out, neither of which I have much time for these days.

Comments on DRA

I was invited to come to DRA by an old friend from days gone by. I had thought to finish my employment history in a youth setting, if possible, but wasn't looking just yet. Sometimes good things come to us unexpectedly! Impressed with the philosophy and staff at DRA, I was clearly enchanted by the pristine beauty and peaceful feeling I found here.

Having worked in psychiatry for so many years, I've often wished some intervention could have turned people around and guided them in a different direction before their lives were in such ruins. It's so uplifting to be a part of such a process.

It's simple and old-fashioned. I love people. I especially enjoy teenagers. I feel I have something of value to give, and receive. I hope I can make a worthy contribution, and enjoy some new friends along the way.
