Interests
Growing up in Idaho, I was provided an opportunity to become very familiar with hard work. I learned at a young age to enjoy nature and the outdoors. I was blessed with the chance to grow up in a large blended family—which provided unique dynamics and opportunities to develop varied interests. Throughout my life I have enjoyed meeting new people and helping others. My wife and I have a 2 year old daughter and a 4 month old son. They are the source of great joy in my life. My second passion is working with youth. I enjoy meeting new young people and assisting them through difficult times as well as great times. I have worked with youth and adults in several different capacities. Working as a therapist with young people is by far my favorite. As youth work closely with their therapist, teachers, line staff and most importantly their families, they will not only be successful at DRA, but they will have gained skills that will help them find success in the community.
Comments on DRA
Diamond Ranch Academy is a well rounded program that has effectively combined therapy with a safe environment for youth to practice new life-skills. I have worked in several youth treatment facilities, in several capacities. Having gained experience working as a therapist and a line staff, I have seen the treatment process from different perspectives. At DRA, the therapeutic process and the behavioral component complement each other beautifully—each one supporting the other. I love the campus and the versatility it provides.
